Glass Specification

  • Description - Plain flat laminated safety glass with PVB interlayer
  • Classification:  Grade "A" safety glass
  • Nominal Thickness:  9.90mm overall
  • Glass colour:  Standard (green tint)
  • Life's Memories memorials comply with Australian Standard AS/NZS 2208 - Safety Glazing Materials in Buildings - STANDARDSMARK QAS licence number 0911

Frames

  • Unless the plaque is to be recessed into granite, all plaques will be supplied with a black corian frame.

Basic Plaque

  • A Basic plaque has a background image from a background selection library.
  • Unlimited text based on plaque size. This may include customers own verse.
  • Poems by Fleur A may be added on payment of the appropriate fee.

Standard Plaque

  • A Standard plaque has a background image from a background selection library.
  • One photograph or one emblem (eg service emblem or other motif) may be included.
  • Unlimited text based on plaque size. This may include customers own verse.
  • Poems by Fleur A may be added on payment of the appropriate fee.

Designer Plaque

  • A designer plaque can have a standard background or a unique photo / image supplied by the family.
  • Up to 6 (combined maximum) photographs / images or emblems can be included on each plaque.
  • Unlimited text based on plaque size. This may include customers own verse.
  • Poems by Fleur A may be added on payment of the appropriate fee.

Partner Plaques

  • When a second plaque is required at a later date Life's Memories will supply a plaque of the same size at the ruling Basic Plaque price; provided that the background, images and photos remain unchanged. The wording may be amended as required.

Fonts

  • Poems or verse will be displayed in italic typeface. All other text will be standard typeface.
  • The graphic artist has licence to vary the size of the font so as create the most appealing and legible design.
  • Clients wishing to supply their own text as in the case of a foreign language should convert the text to vector format (eg Illustrator, Freehand, Indesign, Corel Draw or Quark Xpress) and save as an .eps file.

Design Considerations

  • Too many photographs or too many words could make the plaque look too cluttered and block out the background. If possible select a larger size plaque.

Poems

  • All poems are the copyright of Fleur A. and can be added to a plaque upon the payment of the appropriate fee.

Images

  • Photographs will not be returned and it is recommended that the client has copies of original prints made at any photo development lab. If supplying digital images please burn to a CD.
  • The picture quality of the Life's Memories plaque is reliant on high resolution photographs. Clients are therefore encouraged to supply the highest resolution of photograph available. Digital images must have a resolution of at least 300dpi for the required image size (or cropped portion thereof) of the image to used on the plaque.

Colour

  • The colour intensity of images will vary from the printed proofs to the final Life's Memories plaque because of variations in printer types and inks and the fact that the final image will be viewed through glass.
